May 8th & 9th, 2019

KCDA, Northlands College and the Precambrian Geological Laboratory are pleased to announce that Core Days 2019 will be held May 8 & 9, 2019!

Day 1's theme is Northern Opportunity and will be held at the Northlands College Mine School in Air Ronge. The agenda will be of interest to northern community leaders, businesses that service the exploration Industry, prospectors and companies undertaking exploration, and people who work in the exploration sector.

The agenda includes:

  • Presentations on current exploration activity and related goods and services requirements
  • Land management and Duty to Consult - A First Nations Perspective
  • Exploration Regulations
  • Saskatchewan Targeted Mineral Strategy
  • Saskatchewan Mining Association update
  • Lifetime Service Award
  • 20 Year Service Awards
  • Networking social at La Ronge Legion

Day 2's theme is Mineral Potential and is all about technical information and core displays. It will be held in downtown La Ronge at Precambrian Geological Laboratory and Legion hall across the street. The agenda includes:

  • Presentations by industry experts on exploration properties and current activity
  • Information on latest exploration technologies and strategies implemented
  • Development of showings and discoveries
  • Various commodities including gold, base metals, uranium, and cobalt
  • Core displays from the Precambrian Geological Library and industry - a chance to look at the geology of various properties
  • Northern Fish Fry!!
